SearchWill.co.uk offer the facility to find a (qualified) will writer in your local area. It does include some solicitors but in the main it lists will writing services or individual will writers who make home visits to write your will.

Will Writers
March 19, 2006Although I would recommend that you Make your Will Online I understand that not everyone is comfortable with this.
That leaves three other options:-
- Use a Home Will Writing Service. This is where a qualified will-writer will visit you in the comfort of your own home, take your will instructions and then prepare your will for you for delivery later. If you would like a qualified local will-writer to contact you you can complete a short form here. You are under NO obligation to proceed by making the request.
- Use a solicitor. This is costly and in 99% of cases quite unnecessary.
- Make a DIY Will either from scratch or using one of the many DIY Will Forms available on the internet.
I would urge you NOT to use the DIY method. “Free” or DIY Wills at best are likely to cost your beneficiaries far more than it saves you and at worst it could well make your will invalid unless you know exactly what you are doing.
For the sake of £29 you can make a fully solicitor checked Will Online HERE – with free updates and printable immediately – a far better option than trying to “do it yourself” from scratch.
Home Will Writers
March 19, 2006If you do not wish to use an Online Will Service (see below) you can consider the option of a Home Will Writing Service. These are fully qualified will-writers at a fraction of the cost of a solicitor.
You can request a call (with NO obligation) from a qualified will-writer in your local area by using the simple form here
If you are specifically enquiring about Discretionary Trust Wills please ensure you put that clearly in the “message” box so they ensure the RIGHT will-writer contacts you.
You do NOT need to use the services of a solicitor to make a Discretionary Will as they tend to be overly expensive.
Home Will Writers
March 19, 2006Although I would recommend that from a cost and simplicity point of view you Make your Will Online (see the “Best Way to Make a Will” article below), it has been pointed out to me that not everyone is comfortable with doing this.
If you would prefer to make your will with a qualified Will-Writer in the comfort of your own home you can request a call from a LOCAL Will-Writer by using this simple form – click here
I am assured you are under NO obligation to take the matter further but it is an option worth looking into. They utilise the services of a National Will Writing company who currently have a half price offer on both single and join wills.
Remember PLEASE avoid DIY Wills or the very cheap online services.
